Neat Freak

Artist at work play

Double decker kitties

Mom dropped a string cheese wrapper on the kitchen floor to see if Taz would play with it. Poor kitty didn't get a chance, though, because when Kara saw it, she picked it up and said, "Mom, don't throw that on the floor! Throw it in the garbage!"

Amy's teacher sent us a really nice little note about her: "I just wanted to tell you how sweet Amy is and that she is doing well. I sometimes think she is off in her own world and call on her to double check, but she can answer me. I am amazed at her quiet ways and how nicely she does her work. I am so glad that I have the opportunity to be her teacher this year."

Brenda had an MRI last Wednesday. The results were normal. Grr.

Joy is whipping this family into shape. He's established a new "family work time" on Saturday mornings. The girls aren't really on board yet. They probably won't be until they move out of the house.

Love Is in the Air

Brenda with her mom and sister

Mutant snowman in a neighbor's yard

Amy was totally excited for "Valentime's Day." She picked out Hello Kitty cards to give to her friends at school.

While we were getting the girls ready for bed the other night, Kara said, out of the blue, "Mom, I love Jesus. And Heavenly Father."

Brenda loves our neighborhood! The car wouldn't start one morning, and all the other families around here who have kids who go to Amy's school had already left by the time she decided to stop trying, so she knocked on another neighbor's door. She was going to ask if she wouldn't mind running Amy over to the school, but she offered to let us take her car! We have the best neighbors ever!

Joy got to shovel a total of a foot and a half of snow last Wednesday night to Thursday morning. Bet you're all totally jealous.

Just What the Doctor Ordered...a Colonoscopy

The inside of Brenda's stomach.
Now no one can complain
that we never post pictures of her.

The cabinets that Joy spent the weekend
putting up in the laundry area

Amy
has passed off reading level G in class.

When we went out to dinner last weekend, Kara was apparently eager to get back home. As soon as she finished eating, she said, "Are we done here?"

Joy and Brenda posted some classified ads online last week to sell a piano, and someone tried to scam us. He contacted Brenda by email and chat and offered to send us a cashier's check. He didn't need to see the piano, and he would have someone come pick it up. We are so thankful for the Holy Ghost! We both had a bad feeling about the situation and sold the piano to a nice couple in Santaquin instead.

Interesting stuff:

-Whiskey teleportation. OK, maybe not, but still cool.

-Misspelled sign in the Utah State Capitol
