Look out, Dad!

-Joy was less than thrilled to have to shovel 8 inches of snow last Monday morning before work.

-Amy told Mom that she could hear Aurora's "heart beep."

-The other night we were listening to the Backyardigans CD during dinner, all singing along. Kara, trying to sing "into the thick of it," instead said, "to the pickle pick it."

-Brenda has obviously spent a great deal of time laughing hysterically this week (though never at Joy, of course ).


Interesting stuff:

-Remember this science project from freshman year in high school?

-An engineering professor with a sense of humor

-A clock almost as cool as the binary clock

-Cutthroat kite-flying

Peterson POSROIT #106

The girls begged for balloons
at the craft store the other day,
so Mom and Dad surprised them
last night.

Aurora kept Amy company while she was sick.

Sweet talk:

Kara said her own bedtime prayer all by herself the other night. We were speechless.

Grandma Draisker came to take care of the girls for Valentine's Day so Mom and Dad could go out to dinner. As we were leaving, Amy said, "I hope it takes a loooooong time!"

Joy and Brenda tried to go to Ruby River Steakhouse for our Valentine outing, but by the time we got there, the wait was 3 1/2 hours! Unbelievable!

Amy kicking back with a good magazine

Princess Kara

Just call her Sir Edmund Hillary:

Kara somehow figured out how to climb the ladder to the top bunk bed, causing a dangerous rise in her parents' blood pressure.

Brenda was finally sustained in her new calling in church. In addition to playing the organ, she will now be leading (i.e. singing solo) music in the nursery classes.

Amy has been choosing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" for her bedtime story for the past week or so. We're amazed that she's still interested in the story, in spite of the limited number of pictures involved and the fact that we only read a chapter or two at a time.

Joy is getting the hang of his contact. He can usually get it in or out on the first try now, but it's still not terribly comfortable.
