Amy painting

Downward-facing dog

Hi-ho, hi-ho:

Joy has been extra busy at work this week. On Monday, he was in the office until 9:30 at night trying to fix something at a site in Germany.

Brenda is looking forward to spring. She loves winter, but at this point, she's had enough of the cold and colorlessness. She's trying to decide what plants to attempt to grow this year. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Kara can now say her sister's name. It sounds more like "Mamy" than "Amy," but close enough.

We have Family Home Evening every week, and it usually concludes with a treat. So Amy thinks it's called Family Home Eating.

QOSROIT: What song was number one on the Billboard chart on the day you were born? Click here:

Number One in History

Amy - "Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige
Kara - "Goodies" by Ciara featuring Petey Pablo
Joy - "One of These Nights" by The Eagles

Brushing their teeth together

Kara decided to help Mom wash the trash can.

Raise your hand if you're sure:

Kara has learned to raise her hand. Amy likes to get straws for everyone at dinner, so she asks anyone who wants one to raise their hand. Seeing everyone else doing it, Kara decided she needed to be involved too.

Amy says that this Valentine's Day was the best ever (in her vast Valentine experience). On Saturday, she and Mom had a mother/daughter Valentine party with some of her friends. On Tuesday, she had a party in preschool and got Valentines from her other friends and family plus a treat and stuffed animal from Grandma D.

Brenda and Joy got to go to a sweetheart dinner (with babysitting!) at the church on Friday, and Grandma and Aunt Jo babysat so they could go out to dinner again Tuesday. Maybe Amy is right!

QOSROIT: Do you like Valentine's Day?
Our answer: Oh yeah!

Love,
The Petersons

Get up, everybody, and sing:

Kara is rapidly expanding her vocabulary. Her latest words are "bow wow wow," "please," and "quack."

Amy has been enjoying playing outside in the snow. She got to help her friends make a snowman.

Brenda and Joy got haircuts for date night last week! Talk about romantic!

QOSROIT: What did you eat for dinner last night?
Our answer: Pizza rolls and salad.
