"I See," Said the Blind Man

"Still Life" by Amy Peterson

"Your backpack, Dad? I don't think so!"

Brenda
is excited that some of our tulips are poking up!

Joy has started wiring the basement. The rec room canister lights, which are on a 3-way switch, are now operational.

Amy is obsessed with the Rainbow Fairy series in all of its incarnations. It is pretty much the only thing she wants to read these days.

Kara had her very first eye exam this week, and it turns out that she is far-sighted enough that she needs glasses.

Interesting Stuff:

-Oh, dear
-Mathemagician - can you square a 5 digit number in your head??
-Piano magic - improv on 5 random notes

QOSROIT: Are you near-sighted, far-sighted or neither? Do you wear glasses, contacts or none of the above?

A Long Time Coming

Kara all bundled up to play in the snow

Preschool snack: snowmen on a stick

We went to student-led conferences with Amy this month and solved the mystery of the missing math homework. She hadn't been bringing it home, because she was just stuffing it in her desk with everything else. She is organizationally challenged just like her mom.

Kara had a cavity filled a couple weeks ago. She did just fine with it and has had no pain since.

Joy and an HVAC guy who lives in our neighborhood worked on the ventilation in the basement on Saturday. It's almost done!

Brenda is having a hard time finding modest, reasonably-priced Easter dresses for the girls. Everything in the stores is either sleeveless, outrageously expensive or 100% polyester. Smile

Interesting stuff:

-Vote for our friend CJ for the Great Barrier Reef Island Caretaker job!

-Hairstyles by "Japanese weird art director"

QOSROIT: What would your dream job be?

Happy February!

Love,
