T Minus 20 Years, and Counting...

Our future astronauts

This grouper was following Kara around at Sea World.

Amy was supposed to have her first T-ball practice today, but it was too cold and windy (hmm...the calendar says it's May...), so they just handed out T shirts and team rosters. Amy will get to make some new friends, as only one of the girls on her team lives in our neighborhood. The name of her team is the Unicorns!

Brenda's last choir concert of the season was last Thursday. We sang a variety of different types of songs, like "Wade in the Water", "Yellow Bird" and "Kiss the Girl" from the Little Mermaid.

Joy, the master craftsman, spent Saturday morning helping Brenda's sister put a shed together.

Kara now recognizes all the letters in her name. She can't put them in order, but she knows what they look like. And knowing, of course, is half the battle.

Fun in the Sun

Amy and Kara burying Dad at the La Jolla Cove beach

The girls had their first experience
with cotton candy at Sea World.

Amy's favorite part of our vacation was watching the killer whales and the dolphins.

Brenda's favorite part of our trip was the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. happy

Joy's favorite part was swimming with the girls in the hotel pool.

Kara's favorite was the roller coasters. The few she was tall enough to go on, anyway. It looks like we have a little daredevil on our hands.

Spanish Fork Really Blows

Our visit to the Spanish Fork Canyon windmills:

Brenda has committed to making 4 more blouses for choir members. Hopefully it will be less stressful this time, since she knows what to expect and has had more zipper practice since the last time.

Joy had a ball in Orlando. The conference attendees had Sea World to themselves on Tuesday night, and Wednesday night, he shared a 20oz steak with another guy at one of the top rated steak houses in the country.

Amy and Kara are totally excited for our trip next week. They both got new swimsuits and headphones for the DVD player in the car. All they can talk about is Sea World and Legoland. Mom and Dad are excited to see the girls so excited!

QOSROIT: What has been your favorite family vacation?

There will not be a POSROIT next week, but never fear! We will have a plethora of fun photos to share when we get back!!

Growing Like Weeds

The girls in their snazzy new Easter dresses

Artist: Amy Peterson, Medium: Dinner

Joy
and Brenda went to a class on square foot gardening last week. It was informative and inspiring, and we're planning to start building our boxes after Joy gets back from his trip. Maybe this will help turn our thumbs a little less black.

Kara has officially left toddler sizes behind. Now we have to shop for her in the girls' department. Sniff.

Amy eats a lunch from home every school day except Wednesday, which is pizza day. A girl after our own hearts.
