Peterson POSROIT #104

Handsome Joy in his stylin' suit and new glasses

Kara can get a drink of water
all by herself

I can see! It's a miracle:

Joy just got his first contact lens. Yes, only one. He doesn't need any correction in his left eye, so he just has one for his right. It's taking some practice and adjustment.

Brenda is remembering her first pair of contacts, 17 years ago. Yikes!!

Amy saw the Rescuers movie for the first time recently. Now she loves to run around the couch with a teddy bear pretending that she's being chased by crocodiles.

Kara is, of course, still fascinated with taking off her clothes. However, we discovered recently that she also likes to change her pajamas in the middle of the night. We put her to bed in one pair, and when she gets up in the morning, she's wearing something completely different.

Peterson POSROIT #103

This is what 31 looks like. Scary, isn't it?

Amy on her snow slide

You may be right. We may be crazy:

Brenda finally pulled her serger out of its box this week. She did something totally unprecedented and insane first: she read the manual. free smileys

Amy is totally into crafts. She won't let Mom watch a craft show without her, and every episode she says, "Maybe we should do that sometime." She was especially impressed by the balloon hat episode.

Kara's favorite new game is "doctor appointment." All of her animals have them, and she does not object to having one either. She lets Amy give her check-ups and shots.

Joy helped someone move last week, and got some free Jazz (basketball) tickets for his trouble.

Interesting stuff:

-Interior map of the Millenium Falcon

-Water sculptures

-How good are you with your mouse?

QOSROIT: What question is burning on your mind?

Peterson POSROIT #102

Night-night hug before naptime

Kara enjoying the easel Grandma gave us for Christmas

Blah, blah, blah:

Kara has been drawing a lot of helicopters lately. The pictures are the usual scribbles, but she insists they're helicopters.

Amy might be getting her 5-6 year molars. The gums in the back on the bottom are pretty swollen. Her very first permanent teeth! Our baby is growing up (too fast).

Brenda celebrated her 31st birthday last week. As the wise man said, "Time marches on, and it's marching over your face."

Joy
's dentist broke his jaw last week. Well, OK, maybe that's exaggerating a little. One of his wisdom teeth was bothering him, so the dentist decided to go ahead and take it out while he was there. Apparently, it was a difficult extraction, and the roots had become embedded in the jawbone. When he finally got it out, a chip of bone came with it. For his two remaining wisdom teeth, Joy will be seeing an oral surgeon.

Interesting stuff:

-A possible alternative to shots (this is for you, CJ)

-Where can you find a 10 billion trillion trillion carat diamond?

-How to cut an onion without crying (Brenda tried this one, but thinks she didn't get deep enough. If anyone else tries it, let us know.)

-What not to name your baby

-The ultimate flu vaccine

QOSROIT: Do you cry when you get a shot? How about when you chop an onion?
