More pictures from the Princess Party:

When we're helping, we're happy, and we sing as we go:

Joy's 17 year-old cousin Mary stayed with us last weekend. The girls couldn't get enough of her. Amy had to show her everything she owns, and Kara ran around the house shouting, "Mary! Mary!"

Amy got a letter from her friend, Erica (the one who moved), this week. She was so excited when she asked Dad if she got any mail, and he actually said yes!

Kara is getting to be quite the helper around the house. She loves to help Mom and Dad put away the clean dishes, and she even helped Amy sort and put away shoes in their room the other day.

Brenda is all caught up on the girls' scrapbooks. Whew! Now she just has to do birthday scrapbooks and the family album and the wedding book. Piece of cake, eh?

Happily ever after:

Brenda, Amy and Kara went to a Princess Party at the high school on Saturday. The girls got to dress up, get their faces painted, meet grown-up princesses, go on a cake walk and MORE! Brenda got to enjoy watching her daughters have a ball.

Joy has been enjoying watching World Cup soccer. The US national team has a big game tomorrow against Ghana. It's their last game in the group round, and they have a chance to move on.

QOSROIT: Are you a soccer fan?

Pictures from Orem Summerfest:

Make new friends, but keep the old:

Joy got a brand new laptop at work. It can run more than one operating system at once and has a magnetic power cord connection (if you trip over the cord, as a certain wife is wont to do, it won't damage the computer).

Kara has finally learned the difference between a truck and a train.

Amy made some new friends. All on her own she decided one day to see if some of our new neighbors could play. She's been talking about them ever since.

Brenda relabeled and refilled 10 out of 18 spice jars. Exciting, eh?

QOSROIT: What spices do you use on a regular basis?

100% Princess

"I take my reading very seriously."

Some like it hot (and some don't):

Kara has another new word. Every night at bedtime, she asks us to put on her "bammies."

Amy (and Kara) got to spend the night at Grandma Draisker's house. She had lots of fun, but she missed Mommy and Daddy.

Brenda is ready for summer to be over (after just one week!).

Joy (and Brenda) enjoyed a quiet evening together while the girls were gone. We had lots of fun, but we missed our daughters.
