Kara was pretending to race from the kitchen to the front door on her bouncy ball. When she reached her goal, she shouted, "The crowd goes wild!"
When Brenda was a kid, she found great delight in grossing out her dad by eating marshmallows in applesauce. Quite tasty, actually.
Amy is following in her mother's footsteps. Yesterday she invented a new delicacy: crackers with ham, cheese and banana slices.
Joy is thoroughly disgusted by his daughter's culinary masterpiece.

Zungenwurst: chunks of pickled cow tongue and fat in a congealed blood sausage. It's actually quite tasty when served on hard German rye with unsalted butter and Senf (German mustard).
Tim, something tells me we're not going to get anything weirder than that. It sounds worse than the sushi you made me try. :-)
I don't think it's particularly strange, but I get a lot of weird looks when I tell people about the peanut butter and just-about-anything sandwiches my mom used to give us. My favorites were peanut butter & bacon and peanut butter & cheese. Peanut butter & raisin wasn't bad either.
Stacy thinks a peanut butter & bacon sandwich might actually be more foul than Zungenwurst.
Another German "delicacy" that even I won't touch is Schmandheringsalat, which is basically picked herring served with whipped cream.
Those crazy Germans...
