Amy asked Mom, "Can we get a new car?" Mom told her that we can when the one we have stops working or gets broken and can't be fixed. Amy's response: "Like if a tree falls on it?" (Refer to these pictures of our recent storm. The best ones are in the photo gallery.)
Kara has a new word for root beer. Whenever she sees the bottle, she exclaims, "weird!"
Brenda is approaching D-day: she is playing in a piano-organ duet on Sunday. Ack!

When I was growing up, we had a huge walnut tree in our back yard. For some reason, there was a clothsline between two branches. One time when i was climbing the tree, I jumped down from between those two branches and caught my neck on the clothesline. It twisted around and started to hang me. If my friends hadn't been around to get my mom... well, you know.
Several of the pictures in the photo gallery were taken right across the street from where I work. It was quite amazing to watch.
